Jane Hein brings more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of compliance, risk, and technology. She has led organizations through complex audits, large-scale system modernization, and regulatory recoveries in banking, insurance, healthcare, and education. She is often called on to stabilize critical programs facing deadlines, scrutiny, or operational risk.
While performing these roles, Jane developed a methodology to help organizations not only achieve compliance but sustain it. This approach – originally built using complex databases that required deep domain expertise – reduced redundancy, eliminated inefficiencies, and delivered measurable savings in the compliance management process. With the rise of AI, Jane saw an opportunity to leverage this methodology into a streamlined, repeatable process, laying the foundation for Joonbi.
The company’s name comes from Taekwondo, where “Joonbi” means the ready stance: not passive, not combative, but prepared. That stance reflects Jane’s belief that compliance should be practiced as confident readiness, not as a series of reactionary activities.
Jane holds the CISSP, CSPO, and CSM designations, and is recognized for making complex regulations clear and actionable. She focuses on building resilient teams and advancing compliance as a discipline that strengthens daily operations and drives long-term business performance.
Jeff brings 35 years of IT leadership and technical expertise to Joonbi, having served both rapid-growth (NWEA) and large-scale (Daimler, Hilton) enterprises. Jeff’s focus areas are large data, generative AI, and highly-available systems. Scaling Joonbi from start-up to indispensable GRC leader presents the ideal opportunity to leverage these strengths.
Derwyn brings a wide range of unique skills to Joonbi, having spent the past 30 years helping emerging companies grow and scale into profitable organizations. Derwyn’s real-world go-to-market experience combines a deep understanding of product strategy, technical know-how and general day-to-day operations.
Kristin brings over 30 years of experience in software engineering, data analytics, and information security to Joonbi. Her expertise spans cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and technology risk management, with a focus on strengthening security, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.
Stanley brings nearly two decades of experience in technology, digital transformation, and customer success to Joonbi. Stanley has a proven track record of helping organizations scale, optimize operations, and deliver enterprise-grade solutions, while building meaningful customer experiences and leading organizations through change.
